There are a few tasks that all assistants perform. They are related to secretarial work, scheduling, contact management, photocopying, and press briefings.
They typically only answer to their superior. Arrange trips and may come along on trips as well, prepare meetings, remarks, or presentations.
An executive assistant may have their personal assistant depending on the size of the company.
Education in any field is a plus but prior experience in the field is a great value.
