Peter lived in Bolivia for four months and learned Spanish living with a Bolivian family in Cochabamba. Immersion continues to be part of Peter’s everyday life as he relearns Spanish and teaches it to his children.[/text_output]
Veronika Geronimo
[/text_output][text_output]Veronika has worked with English Language Learners over the past two decades. She has coached and supported the public speaking and advocacy skills of immigrants, while working alongside Chinese, Latino, Korean, Japanese, and Thai immigrants in fighting for healthcare and education equity.

Miriam Burbano
[/text_output][text_output]Miriam is a celebrated and beloved educator and community leader. She co-founded the Los Angeles Leadership Academy Charter High School and has taught English for companies, universities, and non-profit organizations. Miriam knows first hand how the ability to speak English can bring immeasurable freedom and personal power to her students.

Eli Andrews
[/text_output][text_output]Eli’s experience as an educator and a linguist also goes back more than a decade. He was a member of the foreign language faculty at NYU, and helped develop an automated test of Arabic language. Eli enjoys probing and leading discussions focused on the Philosophy of Language.

Stephanie Suarez
[/text_output][text_output]Stephanie is devoted to increasing access to education, a commitment that was developed as an undergrad at UCLA. She has worked closely with students in the greater Los Angeles and Victorville area to promote college readiness. She enjoys working closely with the immigrant and undocumented student populations.
